Architectural Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural drawings and designs using CAD software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documents for various project phases.
• Collaborate with senior architects and design teams to conceptualise and refine design proposals.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information relevant to design development.
• Produce presentation materials, including 3D visualisations, renderings and models to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and relevant standards throughout the design process.
• Incorporate client feedback and project requirements into design iterations.
• Assist in the coordination of design elements with other consultants, including structural, mechanical and electrical teams.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Support the preparation of project proposals, tender documents and design presentations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other relevant architectural design software.
• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D visualisation tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations and construction standards applicable in Singapore.
• Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills with attention to precision.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines.
• Organised approach to project management with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges.
• 2-4 years of experience in architectural design or a related role is preferred.
• Proficient in producing comprehensive architectural shop drawings and technical details.
• Skilled in translating design concepts into precise construction and shop drawing.
