Executive, Accounting
What you will be doing: Handle basic accounting matters for HMM oversea agencies in SEA region.
Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) outstanding balances and drive collections to meet established KPIs.
Audit Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, verify supporting documents, and process settlements between Agencies and HQ.
Communicate regularly with subsidiary offices through calls, meetings, and teleconferences to resolve accounting and operational issues.
Conduct business travel, as required, to support, train, and educate sub-office staff on accounting procedures and controls.
Develop and implement control measures and provide guidance to agent offices in accordance with Headquarters’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with both internal and local policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
Who we are looking for: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of relevant experiences in shipping agencies control.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to achieve collection and account settlement targets.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate with regional offices.
Willingness to travel for business when required.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and good IT skills with ability to work on in-house accounting system.
Experience in a multinational or shipping/logistics environment will be an advantage.
