Responsibilities and assignments

Assignments: Install, configure, update, administer, and sustain VMware vSphere 7 or higher environments, including vCenter, vSphere Clusters, DRS, High Availability, and vMotion;

Install, configure, update, and administer Linux Red Hat operating systems;

Manage inventory, configuration, and automation using Satellite, Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Git, and PowerCLI;

Administer virtualization hardware architecture, including configuration and updating of BIOS, firmware, and server management platforms;

Perform performance analysis and tuning of environments;

Diagnose and solve complex incidents and problems in operating systems and virtualization platforms;

Act in the support of large-scale and high availability environments.

Requirements and qualifications

Necessary requirements: Undergraduate degree in Technology, or another higher education course plus a postgraduate degree in IT; Proven certification or training in ITIL Foundation v3 or higher; Experience in the administration and support of VMware virtualization infrastructure, in a large company and high availability environment; Experience in the administration and support of Linux operating systems, in a large company and high availability environment; Experience with VMware vSphere 7 or higher, vCenter, Clusters, DRS, High Availability, and vMotion; Experience with Linux Red Hat; Experience with Puppet, Satellite, and Ansible; Experience with Git, Bash, and PowerCLI; Experience with VMware Aria Operations and Log Insight; Technical IT English sufficient for reading documentation and basic written communication in tickets with manufacturers; Mandatory to possess at least one of the following certifications, or higher: - VCP-DCV – VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization; - RHCSA – Red Hat Certified System Administrator.

Desirable requirements / differentiator: Knowledge in hybrid cloud and integration of local datacenter with public cloud providers.
