Responsibilities and assignments

• Install, configure, administer, and sustain IBM MQ environments and WebSphere cells (Network Deployment), preferably on RHEL platform;
• Automate infrastructure processes;
• Configure WebSphere cells via wsadmin, using Jython Scripting;
• Use Puppet in WebSphere environments;
• Create and maintain automation routines using Ansible, Shell Script, PowerShell, or Python;
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting of Java EE applications;
• Perform diagnostic analysis using centralized log tools, such as Splunk or Elastic Stack;
• Administer containers using Docker or Podman, including Dockerfile;
• Perform code versioning using Git, including command line, commit, pull, and push.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Technology, or another higher education course plus a postgraduate degree in IT;
• ITIL Foundation v3 certification or training or higher, with equivalent training being accepted if duly proven;
• Experience in infrastructure process automation or configuration management, using Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent, in a large company and high availability environment;
• experience with automation using Shell Script and Ansible;
• Experience with YAML and JSON;
• Experience with REST API;
• Experience with Git;
• Experience with Docker or Podman;
• Experience with PowerShell or Python;
• Experience with Ansible and Puppet;
• Experience with Jython Scripting;
• Experience with Splunk or Elastic Stack;
• Technical IT English sufficient for reading articles and documentation and basic written communication for opening tickets with manufacturers.
• Experience in the installation and administration of IBM MQ environments;
• Experience in the installation and administration of WebSphere cells (Network Deployment);
• Experience in the analysis and troubleshooting of Java EE applications.

Desirable requirements / differentiator:

• Practical knowledge in troubleshooting and monitoring using Dynatrace or equivalent APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool;
• Experience operating these applications on RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) platform.
