Manager Commissioning, Nordic Operating Unit

We are now looking for a Manager Commissioning for our Grid Integration business in the Nordic operating Unit (Sweden, Finland, and Denmark).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of commissioning engineers working on some of the most exciting projects in the Nordics within high-voltage substations, industry, data centers, and the energy infrastructure of the future. You will have overall responsibility for the team's deliveries, competence development, resource planning, and continuous improvement work, while ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, and project execution.

Your responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of commissioning engineers within Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of commissioning activities in our projects.
• Responsible for resource planning, competence supply, and capacity planning for the business.
• Coach and develop employees through regular development meetings, mentorship, and career planning.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and competence development to ensure a strong and sustainable organization.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, technical leaders, site managers, and other internal functions to ensure successful project deliveries.
• Contribute to the strategic development of commissioning processes, methods, tools, and standardization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's and customers' requirements regarding work environment, safety, quality, and sustainability.
• Support sales and bidding work by contributing expertise regarding commissioning, resource needs, and cost estimation.
• Monitor the business's performance through defined KPIs and actively drive continuous improvements.
• Build strong relationships with customers and act as a strategic partner in project execution.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, power engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• Documented experience from commissioning of high-voltage or medium-voltage installations.
• Previous experience in personnel management, team leadership, or project management is highly meritorious.
• Good understanding of substation technology, control and protection systems, and project execution.
• Experience in planning resources and leading teams in a complex project environment.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Strong communication skills and experience in building relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in developing people and creating engaged teams.
• High integrity and a strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
• Fluent English in speech and writing. Knowledge of Swedish, Finnish, or Danish is meritorious.
• Experience from international projects and matrix organizations is considered an advantage.
