Chartering Manager M/F

DESCRIPTION

In this capacity, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Manage, support, and develop the skills of the Chartering team;
• Organize and supervise all chartering operations;
• Drive the activity in compliance with quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives;
• Manage chartering operations for shipments in France and internationally;
• Select transport solutions and partners adapted to customer needs;
• Ensure the monitoring and development of relationships with customers;
• Retain and develop the customer portfolio related to the chartering activity;
• Negotiate pricing conditions and ensure cost control;
• Monitor market developments and transport rates;
• Coordinate activity with the operations teams and various internal departments;
• Ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to transport operations.

REQUIREMENTS

With a higher education background in Transport, Logistics, or International Trade, you ideally have at least 5 years of experience in the field of chartering, with a successful first experience in management or leading a team. You possess excellent knowledge of the road transport market and master chartering techniques, negotiation, as well as the economic stakes related to this activity. You are comfortable with both national and international flows and possess good knowledge regarding transport regulations. A good level of English is necessary to evolve effectively in an international environment. Autonomous, organized, and reactive, you know how to make decisions and manage priorities in a demanding environment. Your ability to unite a team, your commercial sense, and your negotiation skills will be essential assets to succeed in this position.
