Group Chief Accountant M/F

DESCRIPTION

As part of its development, our client is currently looking for a Group Chief Accountant M/F to manage several French entities in a demanding international environment.

Your missions:

Reporting to the finance department, you will manage all accounting, tax, and internal control matters within your scope.

In this capacity, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Management & accounting steering

• Supervise, support, and develop the skills of the accounting teams
• Oversee monthly and annual closings
• Perform account reviews and associated analyses
• Guarantee the reliability of financial data and compliance with group deadlines
• Participate in recruitment and team organization according to activity

Reporting & group environment

• Produce financial reporting for the group
• Participate in closings under French standards and US GAAP
• Ensure the monitoring of accounting mappings
• Develop and ensure the reliability of cost accounting
• Implement steering indicators and dashboards

Internal control & projects

• Participate in SOX controls and the deployment of group procedures
• Support projects impacting the Finance environment
• Participate in the evolution of tools and the ERP on accounting matters
• Be a key player in the continuous improvement of processes

Taxation & legal

• Supervise tax returns and tax filings
• Participate in the preparation of annual accounts
• Ensure the monitoring of annual legal matters in connection with the relevant teams
• Act as the interlocutor for CAC and administrations during audits

REQUIREMENTS

Your profile:

You have a higher education background in accounting / finance and possess solid experience in a group environment.

You have already evolved in roles combining:

• team management,
• complex closings,
• group reporting,
• internal control,
• international environment.
• Knowledge of SAP is indispensable.
• A professional level of English is expected for the position.
