About the job As a Collections Specialist, you contribute directly to limiting financial risks, maintaining customer relationships, and preventing unnecessary collection processes. Your work is entirely focused on approaching customers with outstanding overdue invoices. You possess good communication skills and adapt depending on the situation. This is usually via telephone, but also via email, and you remain in contact with our customers to reduce and prevent arrears. You analyze quickly and have the intuition to detect a problem in a timely manner, intervening adequately if necessary. Naturally, you aim for a suitable solution for both the customer and Hiltermann Lease.
What will you do? You are a point of contact for customer questions regarding arrears, payments, problems with paying, potential arrangements, collection, and any claims;
Where possible, payment agreements are made;
You take timely action when these agreements are not met; such as starting a collection process;
You ensure accurate and correct file formation and escalate problems in a timely manner.
About the team You will join a growing and energetic Collections team of approximately 11 colleagues, where collaboration, results, and continuous improvement are central.
About you You are not afraid to pick up the phone and are communicatively skilled. You know how to lead conversations well. You work meticulously, are eager to learn, and understand that you can only truly motivate people with the right tone. In addition, you bring: A completed MBO-level 4 education in the direction of Finance, economics, sales, or similar;
The telephone is your best friend; you possess demonstrably good communication skills;
You are empathetic but also persistent and clear;
You are accurate; every agreement you make is recorded and can be traced back;
You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
What do we offer you? A salary between €2,900 and €4,000 gross per month (based on a 40-hour work week), depending on your relevant knowledge and years of experience;
A one-year contract with the intention to convert this into a permanent contract if suitability is demonstrated;
28 vacation days (based on a 40-hour work week);
A pension scheme with only a 3% personal contribution, meaning you keep more net salary!
€30 net per month work-from-home allowance (based on 40 hours per week);
Daily fresh lunch at the office at no personal cost;
Full reimbursement of public transport costs if you travel by train or bus;
Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer if you come by car;
Possibility for hybrid working.
