Market Access Head

Denmark (m/f/x)

The Position

As the Market Access Head Denmark, you will have an overall responsibility

for securing reimbursement, funding, and market access of Daiichi Sankyo’s

products in Denmark. You demonstrate a deep understanding to the local

political environment, healthcare systems and regulations to devise market

access initiatives that will provide sustainable business and ensure patient

access. Your responsibilities will range from strategic planning to hands on

implementation.

Daiichi Sankyo’s Nordic organization is growing and the Market Access

Head Denmark will be a key contributor to crafting a skilled, agile, innovative

and cross functional organization with robust insights to market dynamics

and a strong understanding of customer needs. The role is new and will be

reporting to the Market Access & HEOR Director Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures target reimbursement and funding, efficient bidding strategy

in tenders, develops innovative pricing and payment schemes,

and leads local negotiations with Health Authorities

Develops reimbursement dossiers, responses to assessments,

and together with the HEOR team develops relevant health economic

evaluations and evidence generation to support access and funding

Understands payers’ requirements and needs, and are able to build

strong payer value communication based on clinical and health economic

data, epidemiological studies, budget impact analyses, etc.

Ensures target prices of launch and in market brands and proactively

supervises pricing developments

Drives healthcare system partnerships and builds and maintains solid

relationships to key external stakeholders

Monitors and communicates developments in the Danish health care

environment that may impact reimbursement and patient access

As a member of the Nordic Market Access Leadership team contributes

to building the market access function, strategic decision making, and

prioritizations, across the Nordic markets

Professional experience

and personal skills:

University degree (scientific, economics or business degree)

Minimum 10 years of biotech/pharma experience, and minimum

5 years of market access experience

Fluency in Danish and English

Comprehensive understanding and experience in market access

functions, including pricing and reimbursement processes, health

economics/outcomes research, and management of tender processes

Excellent understanding of Danish health care environment, and

experience in interactions with reimbursement agencies and other

health care decision makers

Strong ability to collaborate, build trust and relationships internally

and externally (experience of working in an alliance is a plus)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Strategic and tactical agility, coupled with a commercial attitude

and business acumen

Proactive, with excellent planning, organizational, analytical,

and negotiation skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a group setting

with colleagues across the organization

Our Nordic office in Copenhagen is situated in “Woods” office building
