Economist

A leading defense company is looking for a Budget and Control Economist.

Building annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Performing ongoing budget control and analyzing performance against budget. Analyzing variances, identifying trends, and reporting deviations to management. Preparing financial reports, management reports, and presentations for management. Monitoring expenses, revenues, project costs, and profit centers. Performing feasibility analyses, forecasts, and economic analyses for decision-making purposes. Building economic models and control tools to improve processes and efficiency. Partnering in pricing processes, multi-year planning, and monitoring business performance.

Option for promotion to department management after a period of 10 months.

• Bachelor's degree in Economics / Business Administration / Accounting / Engineering – Mandatory.
• Mandatory experience in a similar role; at least two years of previous experience in the field of budget and control, economics, or FP&A – Significant advantage.
• Very high proficiency in Excel – Mandatory.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail, and broad business understanding.
• Ability to work independently and simultaneously with many interfaces.
• Ability to present data and conclusions in a clear and professional manner.
• Good level of English.
• Ability to present data to senior management.
