Role Description The Cook role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tarkwa, responsible for preparing meals for staff and visitors in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. Daily tasks include planning menus, sourcing ingredients, and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to portion control, food safety standards, and dietary requirements. The Cook will maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage inventory, and ensure equipment is properly used and cared for. The role also involves coordinating meal schedules, minimizing food waste, and collaborating with management to meet budget and quality expectations. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing consistently high-quality meals. Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in cooking and food preparation in a professional or semi-professional setting. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to plan menus, manage ingredients, and control portions to meet budget and quality goals. Skill in time management, organization, and working efficiently in a busy kitchen environment. Strong teamwork and communication abilities, with a respectful and collaborative attitude. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle typical kitchen tasks safely. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading recipes, following instructions, and tracking inventory. Prior experience in institutional or corporate catering is an advantage but not required.
