A leading speciality insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Reporting Accountant to join its Finance team in London on a fixed-term basis.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and audit support across multiple entities.
In this Reporting Accountant role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing statutory financial statements for multiple entities.
- Liaison with external auditors.
- Finalising monthly and quarterly trial balances accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Reviewing cash journals and bank reconciliations.
- Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Quarterly group reporting.
- Identifying and resolving accounting issues independently and contributing to wider Finance deliverables.
The successful candidate for this Reporting accountant role, will need the following experience:
- Previous experience in a finance role at an insurance business
- Strong knowledge of insurance accounting.
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Proven experience with financial data reconciliation.
Desirable:
- Experience within the Lloyd's market and/or company market.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities.
