Must-have:SeniorLead
  1. Purpose

HFN Investments is preparing its public market entry with an institutional real assets platform. We are appointing a Brand and Communications Strategist on a six-month fixed-term contract to own the corporate launch end-to-end.

  1. Engagement terms

Term: Six months fixed, from appointment. Extension by mutual agreement, not assumed. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer. Coordinates with the Digital Growth Lead and the appointed design and web vendors. Basis: Fixed fee contract, paid against agreed milestones. Consultancy or fixed-term employment both acceptable. Location: Lagos-based, with on-site presence required in launch month.

  1. Scope of work

3.1 Brand and narrative

Complete the brand rollout in partnership with appointed vendors across all corporate surfaces. Maintain the approved corporate messaging guide to keep the story consistent across every spokesperson.

3.2 Launch event

Own the corporate launch event end-to-end: concept, venue, suppliers, budget, invitation list, RSVPs, run of show, and post-event follow-up. Manage the guest list as a corporate audience. Industry, professional services, press, and partners are all in scope. Ensure every piece of event content clears the compliance check in section 5 before production or display.

3.3 Communications and visibility

Build and run the launch communications plan across LinkedIn under the legal entity name, corporate social channels, and press. Manage press and earned media across Nigerian and diaspora business publications, including briefing notes and spokesperson preparation. Build the founder visibility plan: speaking, commentary, and thought leadership. Deliver a ninety-day content calendar with themes, formats, owners, and dates.

  1. Person specification

4.1 Essential

Five or more years in brand strategy, corporate communications, or integrated agency work, with launches you can point to. Demonstrated corporate event delivery at senior audience level, owned end-to-end rather than supported. Excellent written English and the judgement to write for an HNI audience rather than a consumer one. Established Nigerian business media relationships. Comfort working within compliance constraints without treating them as an obstacle to negotiate.

4.2 Desirable

Financial services, professional services, or real estate sector experience. Exposure to regulated communications environments.

  1. Selection process

Submission of portfolio with two comparable launches, stating the candidate's specific role in each. Interview with the Chief Executive Officer and the People and Culture Lead. Paid scoping exercise: a one page launch approach for a fictional institutional platform, written under the constraints in section 5. This tests judgement about the boundary, not creativity alone. Two references from clients where the candidate led rather than contributed.

Fee Range NGN (6months): 4,200,000 - 9,000,000
