Engineer (m/f/d) (Process Manager - Production Technology)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for practical support in the field of engineering as part of a two-year parental leave replacement, who will further optimize the existing process together with the team and support daily operations.

Your core responsibilities

• Direct collaboration with customers to capture and define all technical requirements of product inquiries, through to implementation into a product to be developed
• Independent monitoring of workload, coordination of resources and tasks, as well as regular progress alignment with program managers, executives, and other stakeholders
• Support in risk management
• Creation of system designs using parametric 3D-CAD tools as well as checking and releasing 2D drawings for production implementation
• Participation in the creation of prototypes for new designs
• Collaboration in the change management process from technical updates to production release
• Internal and external root cause and error analysis of difficult mechanical problems
• Development of technical specifications and creation of suitable processes to ensure design validation during critical problems
• Communication and reporting of analysis results to a cross-functional team
• Continuous optimization and active participation in the improvement process

What you bring to the role

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
• At least 1 year of professional experience in the field of product design or mechanical engineering
• Good MS-Office, ERP, and 3D-CAD knowledge
• Very good English skills
• Motivated, solution-oriented, and implementation-oriented way of working as well as teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of all product lines and development processes for accurate planning of the projects to be executed
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models based on CAD geometries
