The Duty Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring seamless hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences in our luxury boutique hotel.   Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Duty Manager oversees daily front office operations while working closely with Housekeeping and Engineering teams to manage room inventory, room readiness, and overall operational efficiency.   This role requires a hands-on leader with strong guest engagement skills and the ability to coordinate across departments to maintain the highest service standards.  Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  Front Office & Guest Experience  Oversee daily Front Office operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. 

Act as the Manager-on-Duty, providing leadership, guidance, and decision-making support to the operational team. 

Handle guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery with professionalism and discretion. 

Ensure all guest interactions reflect the hotel’s luxury brand standards and service culture. 

Monitor arrivals, departures, VIPs, and special requests to ensure personalized guest experiences. 

Rooms Inventory & Interdepartmental Coordination  Work closely with Housekeeping and Engineering teams to manage room inventory, room status, and room readiness. 

Ensure accurate room allocation, minimizing out-of-order and out-of-service rooms. 

Coordinate and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure timely rectification and minimal guest impact. 

Conduct regular room checks to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and presentation meet luxury standards. 

Support occupancy optimization through effective room management and cross-department communication. 

Operational & Administrative Duties   Assist the Front Office Manager in implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service initiatives.  Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and brand standards. 

Prepare shift reports and handover notes, highlighting operational issues and follow-up actions. 

Support training, coaching, and development of Front Office team members. 

Manage billing discrepancies, and night audit matters when required. 

Team Leadership  Lead by example, fostering a positive and professional work environment. 

Support interdepartmental teamwork to ensure smooth hotel operations. 

Requirements & Qualifications  Minimum 3 year or more supervisory or duty management experience in a hotel 

Strong understanding of Front Office operations and rooms management. 

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

Guest-centric mindset with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail Proficiency in hotel PMS systems.
