Ophthalmic Clinical Officer

Conduct thorough eye examinations and visual acuity tests. Diagnose common eye conditions such as refractive errors, conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases. Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, medications, and other treatment modalities. Assist in minor ophthalmic procedures and surgeries under supervision. Educate patients on eye health, hygiene, and preventive measures. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment and instruments. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare team members to develop treatment plans. Participate in outreach programs and community eye health initiatives. Adhere to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and health and safety regulations.  

QUALIFICATION.

Diploma in clinical Ophthalmology from a recognized and accredited institution. Additional training in ophthalmic care or related eye health services is an added advantage.
