A reputable financial services company is seeking a results-driven Recovery Officer to manage overdue accounts, follow up with customers, and support debt recovery activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with customers on overdue payments and outstanding debts.
- Contact delinquent customers through calls, messages, and field visits.
- Negotiate repayment plans with customers.
- Monitor overdue accounts and maintain accurate recovery records.
- Conduct field visits to customers when necessary.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers while ensuring timely repayments.
- Investigate reasons for payment delays and recommend appropriate recovery actions.
- Prepare regular reports on recovery activities and outstanding accounts.
- Work with the credit and risk teams to improve recovery outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in debt recovery, collections, credit control, or a related role.
- Experience in microfinance, banking, fintech, or financial services is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Good problem-solving and record-keeping skills.
- Target-driven and results-oriented.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Must reside in or around Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
