Guide for Ylläs for the winter season

Job Description

We are looking for a guide for our client for the winter season in the stunning landscapes of Ylläs. The employment begins in December and lasts until the end of March. The work also includes weekend work, and shifts are planned according to three-week rosters. The employment relationship will be concluded as a fixed-term contract with Henkilöstöliiga.

The guide's work is diverse and varied. Days often begin with tasks in the equipment rental shop and equipment maintenance, after which the day's activities and excursions are prepared. The content of the working days is largely determined by the programs booked by customers, so no day is exactly the same.

The role includes guiding various nature and activity programs, such as operating snowmobile, skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing excursions. Work is done both independently and as part of a team. The working language is English.

What we expect from the applicant

• First aid training

• Previous work experience in Lapland guiding roles

• Excellent English language skills

• Good physical fitness and readiness to work outdoors in winter conditions

We are looking for a brisk, proactive, and responsible applicant with good customer service skills and the ability to get along with different types of people.

We consider the following as an advantage in the recruitment process

• Fluent French and German language skills

• Wilderness guide training
