Helping Hands & Heart is looking for a *kind, dependable, and experienced Health Care Assistant (HCA) and/or Companion* to join our growing team.
This is a *part-time, one-on-one home care position* supporting a client in the comfort of their own home. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships with clients and helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Provide showering and hygiene support
- Support a client with mobility challenges and ensure their safety
- Prepare simple meals
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and tidying
- Provide companionship and social support
- Drive and accompany the client to medical appointments
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently in a client's home
