Research Associate (m/f/d)

(Pay group 13 Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD); 39 hours weekly)

is to be filled starting at the earliest possible date, limited for a duration of 3 years.

The focus of the research activities at the Professorship for Massivbau is the mechanically consistent modeling of the load-bearing behavior of Stahlbeton components as well as the application of innovative materials and construction methods in suitable structures.

Area of responsibility:

• You will process research tasks from the field of the professorship based on scientific methodology
• Opportunity for scientific further qualification (e.g. doctorate)
• Participation in teaching to a scope of basically 3.0 trimester weekly hours
• Completion of administrative tasks of a general nature as well as academic activities in academic self-administration

Qualification requirements:

• A successfully completed scientific university degree (Diplom [univ.] or Master) in the field of Bauingenieurwesen with a specialization in Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau

Furthermore desired:

• Existing interest in the preparation and publication of your own scientific papers for personal further qualification
• Foreign language skills in English with a performance level that corresponds at least to language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference
• Strong interest in scientific work as well as the ability to teach

The employment relationship is governed by the provisions of the Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD) in conjunction with the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG). The activities basically correspond to pay group 13. The classification up to pay group 13 TVöD is carried out in compliance with § 12 TVöD with regard to the activities that are actually not only temporary and the fulfillment of the personal or collective agreement requirements (job characteristics).

Part-time employment is possible.
