The Helmholtz-Institut für One Health (HIOH) Greifswald is a location of the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung (HZI). Here, the connections between the health of humans, animals, and their environment are researched. As an Employee (m/f/d) Controlling and Institute Finances, you will, on the one hand, support the Administration Manager Dr. Till Suchsland and the administrative team members. You are part of an international institute and are happy to take on the challenge of contributing to the varied daily work at the HIOH as well as working in a team- and solution-oriented manner. The scope of the position is 50% - if interested, there is the possibility to additionally take over the organizational support of health monitoring and thus increase the position to up to 60%. Your area of responsibility:

• Operational processing of the ongoing financial and project controlling of the institute, including monitoring and follow-up of project budgets
• Creation, maintenance, and further development of draft business plans as well as budget overviews
• Implementation of regular target-actual analyses, variance analyses, reporting, and derivation of recommendations for action
• Implementation of cost calculations and economic efficiency analyses
• Support in the regular financial planning of the scientific departments
• Support in the intra-year management of the HIOH partial business plan, including budget reallocations
• Close cooperation with project leaders and administrative units
• Participation in projects for the further development of internal controlling tools and reporting processes - possibly in cooperation with the specialist departments
• Optional: Administration of health monitoring with the following tasks: Organizational support of the occupational medical service, coordination of appointments, preparation of appointments, and the associated documentation

Your qualification profile:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in the field of Controlling, BWL, financial management, administrative sciences, or a comparable qualification
• Confident handling of numbers/calculations and strong analytical skills
• Experience in science management or the third-party funding sector is an advantage
• At least basic knowledge of the English language
• Experience with controlling tools or ERP systems
• Very good IT user knowledge as well as confident handling of all common MS-Office products and electronic communication channels
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of cross-team cooperation
• High reliability, sense of responsibility, and integrity
• Structured, independent, careful, planned, cooperative, and transparent way of working
