International Export Manager (m/w/d)

We, HELL Gravure Systems GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the Heliograph-Gruppe, are a medium-sized, world-leading company in the development and manufacture of engraving systems for the pre-press of publication and packaging. Our areas of expertise are printing plate production for packaging gravure and flexo printing as well as the manufacture of embossing cylinders using high-performance lasers. Typical application markets are flexible packaging and products of the decoration industry. Our extensive product range is unique: from mechanical engineering to software, services, and complex application solutions, all our products come from a single source. To support our worldwide exports, we are looking for you as an International Export Manager (m/w/d) in order management as part of a succession arrangement.

Your Tasks:

• Order management: Processing worldwide machine deliveries from commercial contract review and organization of freight routes to customs-compliant export
• Interface between production, sales, Finance, the customer, and logistics service providers
• Ensuring the correct commercial workflow, such as invoicing, monitoring incoming payments, etc.
• Customs: Primary contact person for all customs-relevant topics as well as customs and foreign trade audits
• Compliance with (inter-)national VAT regulations, preparation of preference calculations for EUR1 / manual import clearances, as well as monitoring the export management system (ATLAS) including export and transfer proofs
• Export control: Responsibility for monitoring the Außenwirtschaftsverordnung or US re-export regulations
• Compliance with country- / person-related embargoes / Dual-Use regulations via EU / US sanctions list checks
• Ensuring compliance with the internal Compliance-System (ICP) as well as its support and further development, including the existing screening software

Your Profile:

• Commercial training, e.g., in freight forwarding, logistics, or wholesale and foreign trade, as well as several years of relevant practical experience in international export processing, specifically in the area of Incoterms and ocean freight
• Sound, up-to-date know-how regarding customs regulations and requirements (tariff classification, preferences, free trade agreements, etc.) as well as a deep understanding of US / EU / BAFA export control and sanctions law
• Confident handling of ERP systems and ATLAS as well as experience with sanctions screening software (BEX SANSCREEN)
• Experience in processing letters of credit is advantageous
• Fluent English (spoken / written)
