Hours: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

At Helen Fallon Consulting, we are partnering with a leading environmental company in Oxfordshire, to recruit a high calibre Transport Planner.

The Opportunity
As an integral member of the transport operations team, you won’t just be scheduling routes you will be the heartbeat of the daily operation. From morning driver briefings to end-of-day debriefs and live problem solving, you will ensure deliveries and collections run seamlessly across Oxfordshire and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, schedule, and optimise cost effective daily routes for a busy commercial fleet
- Coordinate drivers, conduct daily briefings and debriefings, and foster a culture of safety and punctuality
- Act as the operational go to person handling dynamic rerouting, overcoming traffic hurdles, and resolving customer delivery queries in real time
- Support vehicle roadworthiness, transport compliance, and regulatory standards
- Identify smart operational tweaks to boost fuel efficiency, reduce fleet downtime, and improve service delivery
What We’re Looking For
We want a confident, proactive organiser who stays calm under pressure and knows how to get the best out of their team and systems.
- 2+ years’ proven background in transport planning, routing, or fleet logistics
- A strong working knowledge of Oxfordshire and surrounding road networks
- Confidence using modern transport management and route-planning software
- Highly organised, solution-oriented, with sharp communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
