Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of all short-let apartments and ensure smooth coordination across departments. Supervise front desk, housekeeping, facility/maintenance, security, and other operational staff to ensure efficiency and professionalism. Ensure apartments are consistently clean, fully functional, guest-ready, and maintained to high hospitality standards. Monitor bookings, reservations, occupancy levels, guest experiences, and operational performance. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction. Handle and resolve guest complaints, escalations, and operational challenges promptly and professionally. Coordinate housekeeping schedules, maintenance activities, inspections, and apartment readiness before guest check-ins. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, functionality, and compliance with company standards. Manage inventory, operational supplies, utilities, and vendor relationships effectively. Monitor facility operations including electricity, water supply, internet services, generators, inverters, and security systems. Prepare operational reports, staff reports, maintenance updates, occupancy reports, and performance evaluations for management. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate operational staff while promoting teamwork and accountability. Monitor staff attendance, schedules, discipline, productivity, and overall performance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations and standards. Support budgeting, expense control, and cost management initiatives to improve profitability. Coordinate with marketing or sales teams to improve occupancy rates and guest retention. Ensure proper handling of guest records, payments, operational documentation, and administrative processes. Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and business growth. Respond to emergencies and ensure timely resolution of operational or facility-related issues.

Requirements:

Minimum of a BSc in hospitality management, business administration, facility management, or a related field. Proven experience in hospitality operations, hotel management, short-let management, or property operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Good understanding of hospitality standards, guest service, and facility operations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, booking systems, spreadsheets, and operational reporting. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational activities simultaneously. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when necessary.
