Role Description The Financial Analyst role at Heirs Insurance Group is a full-time position based in Lagos, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some flexibility to work from home. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing and reviewing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. Daily tasks include assessing financial performance, interpreting financial statements, and providing insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives, monitor key financial metrics, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. The Financial Analyst will contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes and tools, helping to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial planning and reporting. Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, including knowledge of insurance or financial services, and the ability to apply financial concepts to business decisions. Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, with experience in forecasting and supporting long-term financial strategy. Ability to analyze and interpret Financial Statements, with attention to detail in reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Advanced Analytical Skills, including data analysis, trend identification, and preparing clear, concise financial insights for stakeholders. Experience in Financial Reporting, including preparing management reports, dashboards, and supporting regulatory and compliance reporting. Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial or ERP systems is beneficial. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
