Development Specialist

We are looking for a skilled and development-oriented Development Specialist to join our team in a permanent position starting 16.11.2026 or as agreed.

The task of the Development Specialist is to promote the municipality's vitality, the realization of strategic goals, as well as development and project activities. The role offers a vantage point for building the municipality's future in cooperation with residents, companies, associations, and other stakeholders.

Key tasks:

• promoting the municipality's strategic goals and coordinating development activities
• developing business, company, and association cooperation

• preparation of development and investment projects as well as coordination of implementation
• applying for external funding and mapping funding opportunities

• monitoring projects, reporting, and evaluating impact
• strengthening regional cooperation with different actors

• preparation of measures supporting the municipality's vitality and attractiveness
• The Development Specialist also participates in the implementation of the municipality's national and international projects.

• As a current task package, involvement in the coordination of the Ruralise project and other municipal development projects is included.

The eligibility requirements for the position are a suitable higher education degree and sufficient experience in development, project, or business-related tasks.

We value knowledge of municipal administration, experience in applying for external funding and project management, good cooperation, interaction, and networking skills, a proactive and development-oriented work attitude, and written and oral communication skills. The job requires the use of a personal car as well as proficiency in English.

Working hours 36.15h/week. The salary for the position is determined according to KVTES. The position-specific salary (level salary) is 3,459.28 euros per month. A six (6) month probationary period is observed in the position.
