Airfreight Pricing Executive
Your tasks
We are seeking a commercially focused Airfreight Pricing Executive to develop competitive pricing solutions, manage freight quotations and maximise profitability. You will work closely with internal teams, airlines and international partners to secure favourable rates and support business growth.
- Prepare competitive quotations for air import, export and cross-trade shipments.
- Source and negotiate rates with airlines, overseas agents and freight consolidators.
- Calculate shipment costs, including fuel surcharges, handling fees, security charges and other applicable costs.
- Manage daily pricing enquiries and ensure quotations are accurate and submitted on time.
- Support customer tenders, RFQs, RFPs and contract pricing opportunities.
- Maintain agreed profit margins while offering competitive market rates.
- Update pricing databases, supplier tariffs and customer rate agreements.
- Monitor market trends, airline capacity and rate fluctuations.
- Work alongside Sales and Operations to support new business and customer retention.
- Maintain accurate pricing records and identify opportunities to improve processes.
Requirements
- Experience in airfreight pricing, freight forwarding or a related logistics role.
- Understanding of airfreight costs, airline tariffs, import/export processes and routing.
- Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
- Knowledge of gross profit, mark-ups and margin management.
- Confident negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience with tenders, customer contracts and specialised air cargo.
- Familiarity with freight pricing systems and management software.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and air cargo documentation.
- Experience liaising with international agents and airline partners.
