Your Tasks

• Independent processing of liability claims in the field of financial indemnity liability
• Case-closing examination of recourse claims, with a focus on the professional liability of tax advisors, auditors, notaries, and lawyers
• Investigation of facts, examination of coverage and liability, settlement of justified claims or defense against unjustified claims, as well as the execution of recourse
• Cooperative collaboration with policyholders, claimants, lawyers, and brokers
• Conducting settlement negotiations (by telephone or in person)
• Mandating external legal advisors and service providers
• Examination of prospects for litigation as well as active support of ongoing liability and coverage processes

Your Profile

• Completed degree in law (2. Staatsexamen)
• Ideally, relevant professional experience in the finance/insurance industry or in legal practice and knowledge of tax law, or the willingness to undergo in-depth training
• Good comprehension of complex facts as well as a strong sense for legal and economic contexts
• Ability to work in a team, an empathetic and confident demeanor, experience in communication and negotiation
• Willingness to undertake (occasional) business travel
• Good to very good English skills
