Multi-Academy Trust The Opportunity HB Partners Limited is delighted to be partnering with an established, high-performing Multi-Academy Trust to appoint a Finance Manager to lead its operational finance function. This is a pivotal, highly visible role. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the driving force behind a robust, compliant and forward-thinking finance function, working alongside senior leaders, academy teams and governance committees. You will also lead and develop a capable operational finance team. For an ambitious finance professional seeking genuine influence within a values-led organisation, this is an outstanding next step. What You Will Be Doing Leading the operational finance team and delivering a high-quality finance service across the Trust Owning month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and year-end financial statements Leading internal and external audit activity and ensuring full regulatory compliance Designing and embedding strong financial controls, policies and procedures Overseeing the finance system to ensure accurate, timely reporting Managing cash flow, banking arrangements and the Trust's investment portfolio Ensuring accurate HMRC, DfE and other statutory returns Helping to shape the Trust's wider finance strategy Acting as a trusted adviser, providing financial guidance and training to colleagues across the academies Identifying and driving improvements to systems, processes and financial performance What We Are Looking For CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified At least five years' experience within a finance function Proven experience managing a finance team Strong knowledge of financial controls, audit and regulatory compliance Solid experience of financial systems and procedures Experience within education, a Multi-Academy Trust, charity / not-for-profit or public sector, would be highly advantageous.
