Our client is a leading international player in the logistics sector, active in more than 80 countries. From the Belgian headquarters, they coordinate activities for several European countries. Your new function

As a Financial Controller, you are a crucial link within the regional Shared Service Center. You analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and report for various entities. Additionally, you support management with clear insights and advice regarding business results and risks. Your tasks include, among others:

• Analyzing financial results and discussing them with regional management;
• Optimizing processes around work in progress and gross profit;
• Acting as the point of contact for assigned entities;
• Developing initiatives to improve profitability;
• Preparing budgets and forecasts (SAP BPC);
• Proactively monitoring the balance sheet to mitigate risks;
• Supporting audits and compliance;
• Performing ad-hoc analyses and overhead cost management.

You will start in Belgium and will have opportunities to grow into other European locations within the network in the long term.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar;
• Initial experience as a Financial Controller or consultant, with knowledge of planning, analysis, and business performance;
• Experience with audits is a plus;
• Strong knowledge of Excel, SAP knowledge is an advantage;
• Fluent English (group communication language), other languages are a plus;
• Team player with excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on mentality;
• Willingness to work in a fast-changing environment and meet tight deadlines.
