IT Software Engineer, reinsurance - 12 months contract

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of technical solutions to meet business requirements; document the functional and technical design of systems; perform impact analyses; justify solutions via cost-benefit analysis; and ensure sign-off / acceptance of design and changes;
• Manage key interfaces between Finance, Reinsurance and interface applications, and serve as an expert and advisor in guiding others to solve complex problems with implications on cross-functional business processes and outcomes;
• Direct / manage the development of applications for Reinsurance sweb interfaces and vendor-implemented change requests, by being the central coordination liaison point between end-users, IT personnel and vendors;
• Direct the development of applications for in-house applications and interfaces such as investment application, Service Provider Registration, Intranet-linked applications, etc.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in an end-user support role in system, database and application support; providing support in large systems with multiple business applications;
• Minimum 5-10 year of programming experience in .NET, C#, Full Stack web-development, SOAP, API development;
• Knowledge and experience with SQL programming and SQL Server Database is essential;
