Contract Manager
Your new company
Our client is an established organisation within Singapore's construction industry with a strong presence across major construction and infrastructure projects. As part of their continued project activities, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen their commercial function.
Your new role
As Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of the contractual and commercial management of construction projects, supporting the business in managing risk, claims, procurement and overall project costs.
You will manage the full contract administration process, including tender evaluations, procurement, contract awards and contractual correspondence. You will also be responsible for identifying contractual and commercial risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
A key part of the position will involve preparing and substantiating EOT, variation and loss & expense claims, as well as providing contractual advice and support in the resolution of disputes. You will oversee project cash flow, budgets, cost control and reporting, while providing guidance and leadership to the Quantity Surveying team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years' experience within construction contracts or commercial management
- Strong knowledge of PSSCOC and/or LTACOC
- Demonstrated experience managing EOT, variation and loss & expense claims
- Strong understanding of construction procurement, cost control and contract administration
- Good contractual drafting, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Previous experience leading or mentoring Quantity Surveyors
- Knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and industry practices
