Flexible Work in Specialist Education Settings

Are you looking for rewarding part-time work supporting children and young people with additional needs? Hays Education is working with a number of specialist schools in and around Willenhall that are seeking reliable, compassionate and adaptable Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Cover Staff to support their teams on a flexible, part-time basis.

These opportunities are ideal for individuals who are looking to fit work around existing commitments while gaining valuable experience within SEND and SEMH education.

The Role

As a Cover Support Worker or Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils with:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties
• Complex Needs
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Challenging behaviour and emotional regulation

Assignments may include:

• 1:1 support
• Small group interventions
• Classroom support
• Lunchtime supervision
• Short-term sickness cover
• Day-to-day and ongoing part-time placements

What We're Looking For

We would love to hear from candidates who have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• School-based experience (desirable)
• SEND, care, support work, youth work or residential experience
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
