Full-Time Contract: Short-Term Temporary (1-2 Weeks) Start Date: 12th October 2026

A school in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced and organised School Administrator to provide short-term support within a busy school office. This is a full-time temporary position for approximately 1-2 weeks, starting on 12th October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide efficient support to staff, pupils, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing administrative support to the school office.
• Managing incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries.
• Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records.
• Supporting attendance and safeguarding administration.
• Updating school databases and filing systems.
• Assisting with general office duties and correspondence.
• Supporting senior leaders and office staff as required.

Essential Requirements

• Previous administrative experience.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a busy environment.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service is ESSENTIAL.
• Available to start on 12th October 2026.

Desirable

• Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom.
