Structural BIM Designer / Technician

We are seeking a skilled Structural BIM Designer / Technician to join a collaborative Building Engineering team based in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across a range of sectors, including rail infrastructure, science and industrial developments, higher education, residential, and healthcare. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural BIM models and technical drawings that support the design and construction process. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery and outstanding technical standards. The Role As a Structural BIM Designer / Technician, you will: * Produce and maintain structural BIM models and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit. * Act as a focal point for BIM coordination and collaborative project delivery. * Attend design and coordination workshops with project teams and external stakeholders. * Support the development and implementation of BIM standards and workflows. * Assist in maintaining quality, accuracy, and consistency across project deliverables. * Provide technical support to engineering teams. * Mentor junior team members and apprentices as the team continues to grow. * Contribute to the ongoing development of digital engineering and BIM best practices. About You We're keen to hear from candidates who have: * Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit, including model setup, modelling, and drawing production. * A strong background in structural BIM delivery and coordination across multiple project sectors and stages. * A thorough understanding of BIM principles, processes, standards, and best practices. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, design teams, contractors, and clients. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Desirable (but not essential) * Experience in reinforced concrete detailing. * Knowledge of Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud). * Experience implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs). * An interest in digital innovation, automation, and workflow improvement.
