About the company
Your new company A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a major highways improvement scheme in the East of England. This long-term project involves the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of key highway structures and offers the opportunity to work on a nationally significant programme.
Your tasks
Your new role As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of structural works across the project. You will work closely with the site team to ensure works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with programme requirements.
Key responsibilities will include
- Setting out and surveying for structure-related works
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records
- Managing quality assurance documentation and inspections
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design requirements
- Supporting subcontractor management and site coordination
- Liaising with construction teams, designers and stakeholders
- Monitoring progress and reporting on-site activities
- Promoting high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
Requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highway infrastructure projects
- Strong background in structures, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts or associated civil engineering works
- Proficient in setting out and surveying using relevant equipment
- Good understanding of quality assurance processes and site documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- CSCS card as a minimum
- Full UK driving licence
