Hays Education is working in partnership with a fantastic secondary school in Batley to recruit a School Receptionist for an immediate start. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors.
We are particularly keen to hear from:
- Experienced School Receptionists who can hit the ground running with school systems and procedures.
- Candidates from NHS, GP Surgery, Doctor's Reception, Healthcare Administration or Medical Secretarial backgrounds who are used to managing busy front desks, handling confidential information and delivering exceptional customer service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming visitors, parents and contractors to the school
- Managing incoming calls, emails and enquiries
- Supporting attendance and student information systems
- Handling general administration and office duties
- Maintaining accurate records and confidential data
- Supporting the wider school office team with day-to-day operations
- Creating a positive and professional first impression of the school
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a school office, reception, NHS, GP surgery or busy administrative environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
