Purchase Order Coordinator

Your new company Hays are recruiting a permanent Purchase Coordinator role for a leading hire company. You will be joining an established service-led organisation based in Chadderton. Your new role

As Purchase Order Coordinator, you will become part of a dedicated administration team responsible for ensuring purchase orders are received accurately and promptly, supporting efficient billing and cash collection processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Requesting and obtaining accurate purchase orders from external customers
• Updating internal systems and maintaining complete, accurate records
• Managing information held across third-party customer portals
• Supporting billing and credit control colleagues with outstanding purchase orders
• Monitoring recurring orders to help reduce work in progress and support cash collection
• Following customer-specific purchase order requirements before work progresses
• Responding to customer and internal stakeholder queries professionally
• Escalating recurring errors or unresolved issues through the appropriate channels
• Supporting the effective resolution of customer complaints
• Building strong working relationships across sales, operations and finance teams
• Completing administrative tasks within agreed timescales

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will have experience in a similar role and understand the whole end-to-end process. You will have high attention to detail, data driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a new role, so someone with new ideas and comfortable inputting and streamlining processes is essential.
