Procurement Coordinator

Your new company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainable Procurement Coordinator to join a well-established international manufacturing business. This position will support the development and implementation of sustainable procurement initiatives, supplier engagement programmes, compliance activities, and procurement operations across a complex global supply chain. The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, operations, quality, commercial, legal, and sustainability stakeholders to drive responsible sourcing practices, support carbon reduction initiatives, and ensure the business continues to meet its environmental and ethical sourcing objectives.

Your new role

• Coordinate and support sustainable procurement and responsible sourcing initiatives.
• Assist with the implementation of supplier sustainability programmes and performance improvement activities.
• Support projects focused on reducing supply chain environmental impact, including Scope 3 emissions reduction opportunities.
• Gather, analyse, validate, and maintain supplier sustainability data and performance metrics.
• Monitor and report on sustainability objectives, project milestones, and key performance indicators.
• Assist with the identification and qualification of sustainable, renewable, recycled, and lower-carbon raw materials.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to promote continuous improvement and responsible sourcing practices.
• Support procurement planning and operational activities across multiple supply channels.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure sustainability considerations are incorporated into sourcing decisions.
• Assist with procurement governance, compliance requirements, documentation management, and audit preparation.
• Support the resolution of supplier, quality, sustainability, and compliance-related issues.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and business cases to support strategic procurement and sustainability initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be an organised and analytical professional with experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sustainability, ESG, supplier management, or a related business function.

Essential Requirements

• Experience within procurement, supply chain, purchasing, sustainability, supplier management, or commercial operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient with data analysis, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

• Sustainable procurement or responsible sourcing programmes.
• Supplier performance management and supplier development activities.
• ESG, sustainability, carbon reduction, or environmental initiatives.
• Carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, or sustainability reporting.
• Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, chemical, FMCG, or related sectors.
• Project coordination or continuous improvement initiatives.
