Part-Qualified Management Accountant

Your new company

A well-established and growing organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to support key record-to-report activities within a busy finance function and make an immediate impact.

Your new role

Reporting to the finance manager, you will be responsible for supporting the month-end process and delivering accurate financial information to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close process
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring accounting controls are followed
• Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Analysing financial data and providing reports to stakeholders
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Supporting record-to-report processes across the wider finance function
• Working collaboratively with operational and finance teams to resolve queries

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Part-qualified status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant management accounting experience
• Previous experience within a management accounting, assistant management accounting or assistant accountant role
• Experience supporting month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• The ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
