Logistics Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation. This is a varied role combining transport coordination, customer service and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring deliveries are scheduled efficiently, customer expectations are managed, and transport operations run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Your new role

• Coordinating and scheduling deliveries in line with customer requirements and operational capacity.
• Acting as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and resolving queries.
• Monitoring vehicle movements and delivery schedules to ensure service levels are maintained.
• Liaising with drivers, warehouse teams and customers to ensure efficient communication across the supply chain.
• Managing transport-related documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Investigating and resolving delivery issues, delays and customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Processing orders, booking deliveries and updating internal systems.
• Producing reports and supporting the wider transport team with administration.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within a logistics, transport, supply chain or planning environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with customers, drivers and internal departments.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using transport management systems would be advantageous.
