Junior Electrical Site Manager
About the company
Your new company An established M&E contractor is seeking a Junior Electrical Site Manager to join its growing team based in Newtownards. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to take the next step into site management, or for someone with existing supervisory experience who wants to develop their career across a diverse range of projects.
Your tasks
The role will involve a mixture of office-based duties and regular site visits, supporting the delivery of electrical installations across commercial, industrial, high-rise residential and retail projects throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Your new role
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical projects.
- Oversee electrical works on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Attend project and site meetings with clients, contractors and internal teams.
- Support project reporting, programme updates and progress tracking.
- Assist in managing materials, plant and labour requirements.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are maintained across all project sites.
- Liaise closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- 18th Edition - BS7671 Wiring Regulations Qualification or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Equivalent
- Previous experience in a supervisory, foreman, lead electrician or junior management capacity is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout Northern Ireland and occasionally to the Republic of Ireland.
