IT Project Manager - Microsoft 365 Tenant Migrations

Your new role We're looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a significant Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration as part of a wider acquisition and integration programme.This is a hands-on delivery role requiring someone who has previously managed complex M365 migration projects within an M&A or business integration environment, taking ownership from early discovery and planning through to cutover, migration, hypercare and closure.You'll work across technical teams, business stakeholders, programme leadership and third-party suppliers to ensure the migration is delivered successfully with minimal disruption to the business.
Leading end-to-end delivery of an M365 tenant migration Managing discovery, assessment, design, build, testing and migration activities Developing migration plans, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements Coordinating migration waves, cutover activities and hypercare Managing technical workstreams covering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune Working closely with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Service Management and business teams Managing third-party suppliers and technical delivery partners Owning project plans, RAID logs, dependencies, budgets and change control Leading governance meetings, working groups and stakeholder updates Providing clear RAG reporting and executive-level project updates Ensuring effective transition into BAU support following migration
Why this role? This is an opportunity to play a key part in a business-critical acquisition integration programme, taking ownership of a complex technology migration and working across multiple technical and business workstreams.You'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail, challenging delivery plans, managing competing dependencies and keeping senior stakeholders informed, while ensuring the migration remains firmly on track.If you're an experienced IT Project Manager who has successfully delivered Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations and understands the complexities of acquisition integration, I'd be keen to hear from you.
Requirements
This role requires someone with genuine experience delivering tenant-to-tenant migrations, rather than simply general infrastructure or Microsoft 365 project experience.
You'll ideally bring: Strong experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant migrations Previous exposure to acquisition, M&A or business integration programmes Experience managing projects involving Entra ID / Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune Good understanding of identity, authentication, endpoint management and security Experience taking migration programmes through discovery, design, testing, cutover and hypercare Strong RAID, governance and dependency management experience Experience managing third-party suppliers and system integrators Ability to communicate confidently with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders Strong executive reporting and stakeholder management skills
