IT Programme Manager - M365 Tenant Migration
Your tasks
Your new role We're looking for an experienced IT Programme Manager to lead a major technology integration programme following a business acquisition.This is a senior, business-critical programme centred around a large-scale Microsoft 365 tenant migration, alongside the wider integration of users, applications, devices, data, identity, infrastructure and security services.You'll take ownership of the programme from discovery and design through build, testing, migration, cutover, hypercare and operational handover, coordinating multiple Project Managers, technical workstreams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for Leading the end-to-end acquisition and technology integration programme Owning a complex Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration Managing multiple projects and Project Managers against an integrated programme plan Coordinating workstreams across M365, identity, applications, data, infrastructure, devices and security Managing dependencies, critical paths, RAID and change control Overseeing migration rehearsals, pilots, cutover, hypercare and transition into BAU Providing programme governance and reporting into CTO, Programme Director and SteerCo-level stakeholders Managing multi-million-pound budgets, forecasts and business cases Managing third-party suppliers and systems integrators Ensuring business and technical readiness while minimising disruption during migration
Requirements
You'll be an established Programme Manager with demonstrable experience of: Large-scale Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations Technology integration following an acquisition or merger Leading complex enterprise programmes from discovery through to cutover and BAU Managing multiple Project Managers and interconnected technical workstreams Complex migration and cutover planning Executive-level stakeholder and SteerCo management RAID, dependencies, critical path and programme governance Managing significant programme budgets and forecasts Third-party supplier / systems integrator management Working within large, complex and matrixed organisations
Experience across M365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, identity, security, data and application migrations would be particularly relevant. MSP, PRINCE2, Agile or ITIL qualifications would be advantageous, although proven delivery experience is more important.
This would suit someone who can confidently operate between the boardroom and the delivery team. You'll need to communicate effectively with CTO-level stakeholders while also being comfortable challenging technical teams, suppliers and Project Managers around milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery.If you've previously led a large-scale M365 tenant migration as part of an acquisition or business integration, I'd be keen to hear from you.
