IT Procurement Manager
About the company
Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced interim IT Procurement professional to join a complex organisation undergoing digital transformation. This is a senior, high-impact role offering ownership of strategic technology categories and significant exposure to senior stakeholders. Initially available on a 6 month basis with the strong possibility of being extended, there is a need to be in the office 1 day per week with scope to be more remote based during the assignment. This role is inside IR35.
Your tasks
Your new role You will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management across Digital Services and IT, including cloud, SaaS, software licensing, cybersecurity, data, telecoms and outsourced technology services. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end technology sourcing and category strategies
- Negotiating complex, high-value IT and software contracts
- Managing strategic suppliers, SLAs, KPIs and commercial performance
- Driving cost savings, cost avoidance and supplier optimisation
- Managing commercial and third-party supplier risk
- Supporting major digital transformation programmes
- Partnering with Technology, Finance and Legal stakeholders
- Providing commercial advice and influencing senior leadership
Requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive digital or technology procurement experience
- Working knowledge of cloud, SaaS, software, cybersecurity and AI
- Experience negotiating multi-million-pound technology contracts
- Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management expertise
- A demonstrable track record of delivering commercial savings and value
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and senior stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting digital transformation programmes
- MCIPS or other relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous
