Ground Handler / Ramp Agent
We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Ground Handler / Ramp Agent to join a busy airport operations team, providing exceptional support to aircraft, crew, and passengers in a fast-paced airside environment. This is based at Farnborough Airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Marshal arriving aircraft and support aircraft movements, including pushback and towing operations.
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and oversized items safely and efficiently.
- Conduct aircraft refuelling, water servicing, toilet servicing, and de-icing activities.
- Operate and carry out inspections of Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
- Assist passengers, crew, and customer service teams where required, including special assistance support.
- Communicate effectively via radio, telecommunications, and electronic reporting systems.
- Support airside operations during adverse weather conditions and emergency situations.
- Adhere to all aviation, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain operational standards.
RequirementsEssential
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full 5-year employment and/or education history.
- Ability to obtain required airport security clearance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible approach to shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically capable of lifting baggage and equipment in excess of 20kg.
- Ability to obtain an Airside Driving Permit.
- Strong communication, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Desirable
- Previous ground handling, ramp, or aviation experience.
- Knowledge of airside safety procedures.
- Experience using radio communications.
- LGV licence or experience operating large vehicles.
