Your new role
As a Finance & Bursary Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting both the financial and operational administration of a busy training programme. You will be responsible for:
- Raising invoices and supporting day-to-day finance administration.
- Maintaining accurate financial records, spreadsheets and databases.
- Supporting funding and bursary administration processes.
- Assisting with payment schedules and reconciliations.
- Supporting trainee onboarding and record management.
- Administering trainee databases and ensuring information is maintained accurately.
- Responding to enquiries via telephone and email.
- Liaising with trainees, partner organisations and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance, audit and reporting activities.
- Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider team.
This is a varied position combining finance administration, stakeholder engagement and programme support within a friendly and supportive environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous finance administration, accounts administration or office administration experience.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A positive, resilient and proactive approach.
Experience within finance, accounts payable, purchase ledger, business support, education administration or customer-focused administration would be highly advantageous, although full training will be provided on the specialist elements of the role.
