About the company
Your new company Our client is delivering a major government programme focused on critical national infrastructure, supporting a large-scale transformation and development initiative within the public sector. You will join an experienced delivery team working on complex Java and web-based applications in a highly collaborative environment.
Your tasks
Your new role As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, building and maintaining Java and web-based application features. You will work across systems design, integration, prototyping and technical implementation while applying modern software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle. The role is remote within the UK, with occasional travel to team meetings.
Requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong commercial experience with Java and web technologies.
- Hands-on software development and build experience.
- Experience with systems design, systems integration and prototyping.
- Knowledge of modern development standards and software engineering best practices.
- Understanding of information security principles.
- Experience supporting applications through development into live service environments.
- Strong focus on delivering solutions that meet user and business needs.
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, JavaScript, React, Angular, Maven, Jenkins, AWS or Azure would be advantageous.
