Your tasks:
- Inquiry, negotiation, and ordering of manufactured parts based on technical drawings and specifications
- Supplier selection, evaluation, and development in close cooperation with design/engineering
- Obtaining and evaluating offers as well as conducting price comparisons
- Ensuring delivery reliability, quality, and cost targets (budget, savings targets)
- Complaint management and coordination of technical inquiries with suppliers and design/engineering
- Maintenance of master data and ordering processes in the ERP system
Your qualifications:
- Completed technical or commercial training, ideally with both (e.g., Industriekaufmann/-frau with a technical background or Techniker with purchasing experience)
- Confident reading and interpreting of technical drawings
- Negotiation skills and entrepreneurial thinking
- Experience in operational and/or strategic purchasing of outsourced parts (e.g., turned, milled, sheet metal parts)
- Knowledge in handling ERP systems (e.g., SAP, proALPHA)
- Sufficient English skills for communication with international suppliers
