Your tasks:

• Examination and release of national and international export transactions
• Assessment of goods, software, and technologies with regard to export control requirements
• Application of relevant foreign trade law regulations as well as the EU Dual-Use Regulation
• Advising specialist departments and projects on all matters of export control
• Application for permits from competent authorities (e.g., BAFA) as well as conducting preliminary inquiries
• Administration and monitoring of export licenses, including deadline management
• Conducting training on the topics of export control as well as US re-export control law (EAR/ITAR)
• Ensuring compliance with national and international export control regulations
• Supporting the implementation and further development of export control-relevant processes
• Cooperation with internal and external interfaces in a national and international environment

Your qualifications:

• Completed studies in the field of economics, logistics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Alternatively, commercial or technical training with several years of experience in the field of foreign trade or export control
• Professional experience in an export-oriented industrial company
• Knowledge of foreign trade and export control law
• Experience in using SAP (ideally S/4HANA) as well as common MS Office applications
• Interest in legal issues and the implementation of regulatory requirements
• Technical understanding as well as a structured and careful way of working
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High sense of responsibility and assertiveness
• Good written and spoken English skills
